BRUSSELS/LAS VEGAS, Dec 4. 2024 – Doubling its presence at CES 2025, more European innovation from Wallonia (Southern Region of Belgium) joins the World Tech biggest scene in force to contribute to a competitive, green, digital, resilient and human-centric industry leadership.
With 23 companies, Wallonia-Belgium is representing part of the backbone of the European economy which is undergoing a fundamental digital and ecological transition. Within Europe, R&D investment is a bellwether for breakthrough innovation.
In this regard, Belgium, and its regions, have successfully developed numerous initiatives to support innovation, knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship. As per the EU “Industrial production and technology” socioeconomic objective in 2023, Belgium spent the most per inhabitant compared to the other Member States. Over the past few years, Belgium was always in the Top 3 of EU Member States regarding R&D expenditures expressed as a GDP percentage.
