Greenerwave, the deep-tech startup specializing in electromagnetic wave control, and Telespazio France, the European leader in satellite services, announce the integration of Greenerwave’s solutions into the EU SATCOM Market Catalogue. This program, run by the European Defence Agency (EDA), aims to simplify and accelerate access for armed forces and European agencies to satellite communication solutions, ensuring strict standards of performance, security, and reliability while supporting cooperation between European Union member states in the defense sector.

By joining the service catalogue offered by Telespazio France, Greenerwave gains enhanced visibility and direct access to a broader European clientele with growing needs for satellite communications and security to support their operational missions. This significant milestone in Greenerwave’s development now allows the company to offer its energy-efficient cutting-edge solutions to the European defense market.

The integration of Greenerwave’s innovative solution into Telespazio France’s EU SatCom Market Catalogue reflects a shared commitment to enhancing interoperability, resilience, and security of satellite communications for defense and security missions in Europe.

Through Telespazio France’s service offerings, which hold the framework contract for the EU SATCOM Market, Greenerwave is now positioned as a key player in Europe’s technological and strategic sovereignty. This collaboration between Telespazio France and Greenerwave highlights the quality, innovation, and reliability of the solutions developed by both companies.

“Joining Telespazio France’s EU SatCom Market Catalogue is a key step for Greenerwave, showcasing our ability to provide user terminals that are not only innovative but also optimized for energy efficiency and performance”, said Geoffroy Lerosey, CEO and co-founder of Greenerwave. “In a turbulent geopolitical context, we are proud to actively contribute to European security and sovereignty.”

Pierre GLATT, Sales Director at Telespazio France, said, “We are delighted to welcome Greenerwave to the EU SATCOM Market Catalogue, a strategic program for European armed forces in the field of satellite communications solutions. The integration of Greenerwave underscores our commitment to promoting increasingly innovative, high-performance, and secure European technologies, thereby strengthening the resilience and effectiveness of critical communications in Europe.”

Greenerwave, how does it work?

Greenerwave designs intelligent surfaces composed of elements that “shape” electromagnetic waves, enabling the creation and control of directional beams. These advanced metasurfaces consist of centimeter-sized elements called “pixels,” which function like a set of micromirrors. The interactions between the pixels and microwaves are controlled by physics-driven algorithms, steering the waves after their reflection on the surface. Passive, affordable, and easy to produce, this technology optimizes the use of electromagnetic waves while drastically reducing antenna energy consumption and lowering production costs.

About Greenerwave

Greenerwave is an industrial deeptech founded in 2015 by researchers Geoffroy Lerosey and Mathias Fink, spin-off from the Langevin Institute, dependent on CNRS and ESPCI-PSL (École supérieure de physique et de chimie industrielles de Paris). Specializing in the control and orientation of electromagnetic waves, Greenerwave designs and develops, in France, a revolutionary technology that drastically improves the energy efficiency of equipment, making it more economical, more environmentally friendly and less dependent on semi-conductors. This disruptive technology is finds application across various sectors, ranging from the automotive industry to satellite communications and the Internet of Things.
