Visitors to the world’s biggest professional AV show will be invited to test their skills inside a Panasonic-powered golf simulator as the company presents the European debut of its new VMQ85 Series, designed for immersive simulation environments

Wiesbaden, DE, January 2026 — Panasonic Projector and Display Corporation will introduce its new VMQ85 Series of 4K LCD projectors to European audiences for the first time at ISE 2026. The VMQ85 will take centre stage at Panasonic’s ISE booth (3J500), where visitors can experience the projector’s capabilities first-hand through an interactive golf simulator.

Developed with simulation-led environments in mind, the VMQ85 Series includes Panasonic’s first 4K LCD projector. Its square-pixel architecture produces finely detailed, close-range visuals with reduced pixel structure, supporting highly realistic imagery that is critical for immersive applications such as sports simulation and interactive experiences.

Lightweight at under 8 kg, the VMQ85 has been engineered to simplify installation in compact or challenging spaces such as simulator bays and dedicated experience rooms. Despite its small footprint, it delivers three different models up to an impressive 8,000 lumens and incorporates Panasonic’s 2-axis pixel-shifting technology.

For fixed-lens installations, the VMQ85 offers a flexible 1.09–1.77:1 throw ratio, supported by a 1.6x optical zoom and generous lens shift (vertical: +44%, horizontal: ±20%), providing a wide adjustment range to suit a variety of room sizes and layouts without compromising image alignment.

The projector also features a dedicated Vivid Green Mode, specifically optimised for golf simulation environments. This mode enhances green tones and turf textures, helping to deliver more realistic course visuals and clearer ball tracking, even in controlled ambient-light conditions. Image clarity is maintained across curved or angled surfaces, enabling creative freedom for immersive simulator designs.

“ISE is the perfect occasion for introducing the VMQ85 Series to Europe,” said Hartmut Kulessa, Head of Marketing – Visual System Solutions, Panasonic Connect Europe. “Demand for immersive simulation experiences continues to grow, and the VMQ85 was developed to make these environments easier to create without compromising on visual quality or installation flexibility.

“Our golf simulator at ISE gives visitors a hands-on way to experience how the VMQ85 performs in a real-world simulation setting,” he continued.

The VMQ85 also delivers efficiency and sustainability improvements. Approximately 50% of the projector’s plastic body is manufactured using recycled resin, while recyclable cardboard is used for the packaging cushions. An integrated Image Detection function further supports energy efficiency by automatically reducing light output when projected content remains unchanged for a defined period, helping to lower power consumption without compromising brightness when needed.

A comprehensive suite of installation and adjustment tools — including an on-screen Angle Monitor for intuitive tilt visualisation — supports fast and accurate setup.

Adachi, CEO of Panasonic Projector & Display Corporation, stated: “We will continue to bring compelling new products to the market through our innovative 4K driving technology. We will lead the development of new projector applications, such as the emerging sports simulation market, and strengthen MEVIX’s position as the leading 4K projector brand, driving further growth in the large-screen display industry.”

The VMQ85 and golf simulator will be shown at the Panasonic stand (3J500), alongside the company’s latest solutions for conferencing and collaboration, education, large-scale display, digital signage and more.
